BLACK LIVES MATTER?

BLACK LIVES MATTER? This is a question which is still relevant and is being asked. In 21 century people still hold a opinion about you, whether you’re a CRIMINAL or not based on your COLOR. The recent tragic death of George Floyd by police officer is a cause of worry. The movement BLACK LIVES MATTER that started in 2013, began with the use of the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on digital platforms after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the death of African-American teen Trayvon Martin in February 2012 and then been continued . But the recent intensification of the protests all around the world and especially in New York, USA is the result of the accumulation of injustice and suffering that the native African-Americans have been subjected since the abolition of slavery. 

The forefathers of American Revolution fought together to abolish this unholy practice of subjugating one person to another on basis of color. How one can forget the struggle of Nelson Mandela against Apartheid. We cannot let the effort of these personalities go wasted, we as a society have to contemplate, what is the future we want to give to our coming generations, ONE BASED ON COLOR OR LOVE!!!!

The theme for this year International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is “Better Knowledge for Better Care”.   So, having a better knowledge of the problem can help people cure, and give better care for the person in need. The day, 26 June, is observed all around the world as   International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The date was chosen to remember Lin Zexu’s dismantling of the opium trade in Humen, Guangdong before the First Opium War in China. UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) released the World Drug Report 2017, stating that about a quarter of a billion people used drugs at least once in 2015. DO YOU KNOW YOURSELF?

DO YOU KNOW YOURSELF? 👀👀👀 You think you know yourself enough and the moment someone asks “so tell us something about yourself” and bam!!! You are out of words, thoughts and suddenly you don’t know who you are.  You can use as many adjectives to describe yourself that you want, my personal favorite would be honest, friendly, caring and you can go on forever.  But this doesn’t mean that you defined yourself. Is it? Probably, no because there are so many things comprising YOU. You are made up of dreams, desires, ambitions, stardust, and magic. It’s not necessary that you let everyone know about you but it’s important that you should know you and believe you.  Another innocent human tendency that I absolutely admire would be to hide our negatives.
